What does it mean for us when we are forgotten ?


Life could not continue without throwing the past into the past, liberating the present from its burden. Without this power life would be without a future; it would be enslaved by the past. Nothing new could happen; and even the old could not be, for what is now old was once something new, that might or might not have come into existence. Life, without pushing the past into the past, would be altogether impossible. But life has this power, as we are able to observe in the growth of every plant and of every animal. The earlier stages in the development of a living being are left behind in order to provide space for the future, for a new life. But not everything of the past is pushed into the past; something of the past remains alive in the present, so that there is ground from which to grow into the future. Every growth displays its conquered past, sometimes in the form of scars. Life uses its past and battles against it at the same time, in order to thrust forward towards its own renewal. In this pattern, man is united with all beings. It is the universal character of life, whether living beings are aware of it or not.

Only man can be fully aware of it. He saves the past by remembering it, and he pushes it back by forgetting it. This is the way that every child grows, both physically and in spirit. He preserves and he leaves behind. He remembers and he forgets. In healthy development, the balance between the two enables him to advance towards the new. But if too much is preserved, and too little forgotten, the way is barred: the past, with its infantile forces and memories, overpowers the future. We know that some of this occurs in the recesses of the inner life of all of us. We discover remnants of infancy that were never pushed into the past, where they belong. They constrict our freedom and narrow our path into the future. They may even produce a distortion of growth. Think of the preservation of infantile habits in our action and language: our adolescent withdrawal and aggression; the early images of ourselves and our world, far removed from reality; unfounded anxieties and foolish desires; a yet unshaken dependence on childhood authorities -- father or mother; and our unquestioned prejudices that have no connection with our present stage of growth. There were occasions in the past when we lacked the strength to leave behind what belonged to the past; we forgot what belonged to oblivion. We forgot to forget, and now we may find it too late.

Tentang Karikatur Nabi SAW

Mereka (muslim yg terpancing ) mendidihkan dunia hanya untuk sebuah kartun.
Hanya karena sebuah kartun ?
Dengan tidak mengikuti Sunnah Nabi saw, kita menunjukkan kebencian kita terhadap Nabi. Dengan tidak mengikuti Sunnah Nabi saw, kita sendiri yang menghasilkan dan menciptakan karakter-karakter buas ( yang kemudian berwujud ) kartun, karikatur Nabi saw.
Setan sedang bermain-main dengan kita.
Hanya karena sekelompok orang ini memasang kartun-kartun, lalu setiap orang menjadi kaget. Boleh saja kaget, tapi mengapa kaget jika kalian sendiri yang menciptakan kartun-kartun melawan Sunnah Nabi saw ?
Beliau bersabda : - Siapapun yang menjaga Sunnahku di zaman yang rusak, maka dia akan mendapat pahala 70 syahid – Lantas apa yang sedang kita lakukan sekarang ? - Siapa yang mencintaiku, dia selalu mengikuti Sunnahku – Siapa yang sekarang melakukan itu ? tak seorangpun !

"British Schoolgirl Wins Right to Wear Muslim Dress"


"A 15-year-old Muslim girl won the right Wednesday to wear full Islamic dress at her British school in the latest European case pitting the religious rights of minority communities against Western ways of life.
Widening a gulf between Britain and continental Europe on the issue, the Court of Appeal upheld Shabina Begum's case against her school's refusal to let her wear a jilbab, which covers the whole body except for hands and face.
Speaking outside court, Begum, of Bangladeshi origin, said she was a victim of what she called a general vilification of Islam since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States."As a young woman growing up in post-9/11 Britain, I have witnessed a great deal of bigotry from the media, politicians and legal officials," she said.
"This bigotry resulted from my choice to wear a piece of cloth ... It is amazing that in the so-called free world I have to fight to wear this Islamic dress." ...
"Our belief in our faith is the one thing that makes sense in a world gone mad. A world where Muslim women, from Uzbekistan to Turkey, are feeling the brunt of policies guided by western governments," Begum added in her statement Wednesday.

'I sincerely hope, therefore, that my small victory -- to gain an education -- brings hope to millions of Muslim women round the world.'"

Kaulah sandaran hati


yakinkah ku berdiri
di hampa tanpa tepi
bolehkah aku mendengar-Mu

terkubur dalam emosi
tanpa bisa bersembunyi
aku dan nafasku merindukan-Mu

terpuruk ku di sini
terangi dia yang sepi
dan ku tahu pasti
Kau menemani

dalam hidupku, kesendirianku
teringat ku teringat

pada janji-Mu ku terikat
hanya sekejap ku berdiri
kulakukan sepenuh hati

peduli ku peduli
siang dan malam yang berganti
pedihku ini tak ada arti
jika Kaulah sandaran hati

inikah yang Kau mau

Seperti Kaleng Biskuit



Hidup itu mirip dengan kaleng biskuit.
Di dalam kaleng biskuit ada bermacam-macam biskuit, ada yang kamu sukai ada yang tidak.
Dan kalau terus memakan yang kamu suka, yang tersisa hanya yang tidak kamu suka.
Setiap mengalami sesuatu yang menyedihkan aku selalu berpikir seperti itu.
Kalau yang ini sudah kulewati, nanti akan datang yang menyenangkan, begitu.
Karena itu hidup ini seperti kaleng biskuit.
